Roy Scannell

Roy is a Partner in Moore specialising in insolvency, restructuring and advisory services, while also working closely with sole traders and audit‑exempt companies within the SME sector.

He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland with over 25 years’ experience in practice and holds a Personal Insolvency Practitioner’s Certificate.

Roy advises on debt restructuring assignments, creditor negotiations and forensic business reviews. He has extensive practical experience across all aspects of insolvency, from Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations, Members’ Voluntary Liquidations to bank‑appointed Receiverships, and he regularly liaises with financial institutions, legal advisers and other professional stakeholders.

In addition, Roy acts for a broad portfolio of audit‑exempt companies and sole traders, providing hands‑on support to ensure clients are fully tax compliant while also advising on non‑routine matters and management consulting engagements. He has particular experience in the retail sector and with family‑owned businesses, delivering practical accounting and business advisory solutions tailored to the needs of growing SMEs.
